The most important dress you will probably ever wear, your wedding dress so finding the perfect gown can be a daunting task and for some brides a stressful journey. How do you know when you've found the one, the wedding dress that you will wear up the aisle? I've been asked countless times to recommend bridal boutiques so this week I thought I'd share with you all my top 5 bridal designers.

I've heard nothing but good things from brides about them. They stock a variety designers such as Caroline Castigliano, Enzoani, Savvannah Miller and many more. They also have great sales which means you could get an amazing dress for a very reasonable price. I've included pictures of one of my gorgeous brides Ali who's wedding I photographed, she got her dress from here and it is just amazing! The White Room is located in Mullingar.

It's so important to find the right dress for you so make sure that you don't settle for something you don't love. As stressful as some people may find it, wedding dress shopping is also one of the most enjoyable aspects of planning a wedding. It's a great day (or 10) out for you and whoever you decide to bring with you so remember to enjoy every part of it. I would strongly suggest your visit some or all of my suggested boutiques when searching for the perfect dress so make sure to keep them in mind if you're on the look-out! Booking your wedding reception venue

So you are engaged and its time to check out some wedding venues to have your reception at. My own advice is to go along to any wedding exhibitions that venues may have scheduled. Get to see the reception room decorated for a wedding, then whittle your final selection down to about 3 venues.

While some venues may appeal to you both there are some points that you may not have thought about. Your photographs are all you have left to remember your special day so here are some tips to consider when booking your venue.

Does the venue have any locations outside for photographs?

I very often come across wedding venues with little or no outdoor locations for photographs. If this is the case, I always recommend to my couples that they pick a location either near to the church or to the wedding venue for bridal party/family & their couple shots.  A location that means something to the couple can be a lovely idea. Speaking to your photographer in advance of your wedding day about locations f…

1) Chupi
I've mentioned Chupi before in a previous post about bridesmaids gifts and I have to say I just love the jewellery from her. It is so stunning and makes for the perfect gift, every piece is so special and the packaging is just gorgeous. The special treat for Mums, sisters and partners. Couldn't recommend enough.

2) Nima
Nima is an Irish company that sell gorgeous makeup brushes. They sell sets of brushes that are seriously good value and would make a fantastic gift for the makeup lover in your life. Winter Weddings

Winter is a wonderful time of year to get married, wedding venues are often available, the atmosphere is lovely and more people will have time off during the winter to attend the wedding. It's easier to set a theme for your wedding during winter, candles and fairy lights are often popular to create a warm winter atmosphere. However, some extra things need to be taken into consideration, for example, the time restrictions with daylight and cold temperatures. Some tips for winter weddings can come in useful to help the day run seamlessly, which is what I'll be sharing with you today.

1)Having an earlier wedding ceremony is always a good idea at this time of year. With the days being so short and less light available having an earlier ceremony means having a little extra time for photographs etc. It's the best option when having a wedding this time of year.
2) Time schedule on the morning of the wedding
This goes for every wedding but especially when the time is of the essen…
